Q. When do you open?

A. Our ferries operate from about the middle of March to early November. We operate 7 days a week  and our offices are open from 8:00 am to 8:00pm. As we are situated on the Wild Atlantic Way our ferries are subject to variable sea and weather conditions.


Q. Is there parking at Doolin Pier, and if so how much does it cost?

A. There are two large car parks at Doolin Harbour. Clare County Council are bringing in parking fees from mid-July, 2016. Parking will cost €1 for 0-2 hours, €5 for 2-30 hours, and €15 for 30 hours to 1 week.


Q. Are bicycles allowed on the ferries?

A. Yes. Bicycles are allowed on our ferries free of charge. Passengers are responsible for the care of bicycles while travelling on the ferries.


Q. Are children and infants allowed on the ferries?
A. Yes. Children and infants may travel on the ferries. We recommend ensuring that you travel on a day with good sea and weather conditions when bringing children on board.


Q. Are cars taken on the ferries?

A. No. The ferries from Doolin are passenger ferries only. Cars are not permitted from visitors on The Aran Islands.


Q. Are dogs allowed on the ferries?

A. Yes. Well behaved dogs are allowed on the ferries free of charge. Passengers are responsible for the care/behaviour of dogs while travelling on the ferries.


Q. Where is your ticket office located?

A. Our main ticket office is located on Doolin Pier, Doolin, Co.Clare. You will see Bill O’Brien in red letters above our door, left door only. It is a little confusing with different ticket offices on Doolin Pier.


Q. If the sailing is cancelled due to weather or sea conditions what happens?

A. If the sailings are cancelled due to weather, tide, or sea conditions you may choose to be placed on the next available sailing or receive a full refund.


Q. Where do we get our tickets after booking online?

A. After booking online all you need to do is email or phone our ticket office to reserve your preferred sailing date and time. Your PayPal receipt must be presented at our main ticket office on Doolin Pier to collect your boarding pass. Find our main ticket office HERE.


Q. Can we stay overnight on The Aran Islands?

A. Yes. The return tickets may be used for a day trip or overnight stay. You may stay for as many days as you wish on the Islands and use your return passage at any time of choice.
